The Right to Information Act, 2005 envisages that every citizen can secure access to information which is under the control of public authorities in order to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority.

With reference to section 2(h) of Right to Information Act, 2005 (amended) and University Grants Commission extract, the Colleges/Universities fall within the ambit of public authority. Besides, according to section 5(1) of the said act every public authority is required to designate as many officers as public information officers as it be necessary to provide information. Furthermore, according to section 5(2) of the act, every public authority shall designate an officer as assistant public information officer to receive the applications for information and appeals under this act.

In consonance with the spirit of the Act, the College has been actively disclosing information pertaining to all its functional areas sought by various stakeholders of the information from time to time.

Keeping in view the above cited sections of the act and stakeholder’s interest, the following information is put in the public domain.
