DEPARTMENT OF MUSIC

The vision of the Department of Music of Amar Singh College, Srinagar is to provide a dynamic learning environment that stimulates the highest standards of research, innovation, and leadership in music composition, teaching, performance and technology education and advocacy. We aim to develop an awareness of music's connection with regional, national and international cultures, and encourage collaboration and teamwork. Our Department is also introducing a Skill Course under which students from other streams like Science, Commerce etc. will also be enrolled. A proposal for the introduction of Post Graduate Course in Music has already been submitted to the Cluster University, Srinagar. The Department is also planning to establish a Music Studio on campus so that students can enrich their livelihood-skills and aspire to become Music Arrangers, Sound Designers, Music Directors, Music Editors, Music Supervisors, Recording Engineers, and Studio Managers.
