ABOUT US

Central Library of Amar Singh College came into existence with the establishment of the college itself in 1942. Earlier, the library was run from the Heritage building of the college, but later was shifted to its present place of existence having three floors whereby each floor is dedicated to various sections like Text section in ground floor; reference section, browsing section and reading room in first floor. However, the second floor was earlier housed by New Women’s College, Srinagar (now situated at Zakura). Before it can be utilized, the second floor needs renovation at various places, proposal for which is under consideration with the concerned authorities.
